A native of Chicago who grew up in Atlanta, Ashia R. Sims has always dreamed of working in corporate America. As a child, she envisioned herself walking to work downtown with her tennis shoes on, briefcase in one hand, purse in the other. An avid reader, she turned her love of words into a love of creating stories. A love of writing led her to initially pursue a career in Advertising but her desire to attend Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL, pointed her in another direction, public relations.

After receiving a BS in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations, she began to pursue a career in Public Relations. Due to a change in the economy, she was unable to find a full time doing public relations so she maintained her interest by working as a freelancer on various projects. She stumbled across the field of television/film production after working as a producer on a television show that aired on a local public access channel.

Upon discovering her new love of television/film production, she began to seek out opportunities to work in the field. Now she seeks to parlay her experience in public relations and her newly found interest in production into an opportunity to flex her creative muscles in the business world.

Shatakia Head was born in Quitman, GA where she grew up singing in the church choir and enjoyed listening to her father’s records. Shatakia’s love for music grew as she sang in talent shows, at churches and other events with a group of friends from high school. Shatakia went away to college in Atlanta, GA and met new friends that would add some additional insight to her musical journeys.

After leaving Georgia and relocating to Orlando, FL, Shatakia’s life would take on a different spin in the music realm. Her aunt, Cora Miles-Jefferson, managed a group called The Mime Boyz. Moving to Orlando and having to start over meant that Shatakia would spend a lot of time with Cora providing assistance with The Mime Boyz. The Mime Boyz perform pantomime to gospel music around the world. They have traveled to many different places, won numerous awards and even won 3 times at Showtime at the Apollo in New York City. Having being allowed to travel with the group, Shatakia was able to get more management exposure on how to handle artists in small and mega churches.

After relocating to Chicago and obtaining her degree from Nova Southeastern University in Business Professional Management, Shatakia began to focus more on her love and dreams in music. She started MuzicView in 2005. Muzicview was created to promote good music through reviews and posting of album release dates. Shatakia has the goal of taking MuzicView to great heights by doing artist showcases, concerts and listening parties.

In 2005, Shatakia was introduced to Troy Gunn who was working with artist and business partner, Tigah, to help promote his album “The Greatest”. Shatakia was asked by Troy of Solomon Sheppard Music and Renea Solomon Group (RSG) to do some consulting and be the Chicago Representative for Tigah.

Time would bring more artists within her midst as she was introduced to Don Dolla, Money in the Bank (MintB) recording artist. Shatakia was asked to do a hook for his song “Trouble In Paradise”. Currently, she works with her Renea Solomon Group partners, Troy Gunn and Ashia R. Sims to manage up and coming hip hop artist Don Dolla aka Guapo La Don.

Troy Guinyard, also known as Troy Gunn began working in the music industry doing promotions for various independent and major labels. While interning for Organized Noize Productions, the producer of Outkast and Goodie Mob, he worked his way up by showing his knowledge of trends in the market place. With him being an artist himself, he understood what the artist would want and how the artist feels.

After he graduated from high school, he started a company called The Committee that did promotions and marketing for party and event promoters in the Atlanta area. They promoted a lot of the major parties from 1995 to 2000 and all of the major college parties. Later Troy created an emcee competition called “Resurrection (Test of Skills)” with DJ Boo. It was the first successful emcee competition in the Atlanta area.

As he continued to work in the entertainment industry, he started doing A&R scouting. He worked with his cousin Melik Jackson who was managing an artist named Tigah who was signed to Street Scholar Entertainment, which was owned by Melik and a well known producer named Sam Sneed. Melik and Sam made Troy the A&R rep for Street Scholar Entertainment and added him to Tigah’s management team. While working on Tigah’s management team, Troy helped him land a deal with SoSo Def Recordings.
Since then, Troy has created his own management company, Renea Solomon Group as well as two other companies. Money in the Bank Entertainment is an artist development company and record label; and Solomon Sheppard Music is a record label dedicated to the Truth Music Movement. Truth Music is a movement that Troy believes strongly in creating to spread the truth about God and share the blessings that God has given him through music. Currently Troy and his partners at Renea Solomon Group, Ashia R. Sims and Shatakia Head are working with up and coming hip hop artist Don Dolla aka Guapo La Don and Truth Music artist Credo Clay. When he’s not making deals for the artists that he manages, he is negotiating deals with Khaliyl from The Bush Babies. He and Khaliyl are partners in Monster Truck Audio, which has produced beats for Busta Rhymes, Mos Def and Fabolous. During his career, Troy has also worked with many music industry tastemakers like Jermaine Dupri, Jazze Pha and TI. Troy is currently focusing on branding his companies, building his artists and making good music.
